저자 소개
저자 김건옥은 미국 The University of New Mexico에서 심리언어학 부문으로 철학박사 학위(Ph.D)를 받았으며, 그의 박사논문인 Operationalizing Principles of Textual Coherence는 'theoretical contribution of importance'라는 평을 받았다. 미국 Trinity University에 본부가 있는 Institute of Cross-Cultural Research에서 발간하는 국제학술지인 Intercultural Communication Studies의 편집이사로 활동하고 있으며, 1978년에 미국 국무성의 통역관으로 등록되었다. 1980년부터 현재까지 중앙대학교 외국어대학 영어학과 교수로 재직하고 있다.
